The Beyond the Bell Branch Youth Services section provides an after school safe haven for children at Lanai.  Trained supervisors plan and conduct the program every school day from the time of school dismissal until 5:30pm, for students in grades 2 to 5.  First grade students will be allowed on the After School Playground with Principal and Playground Director approval only. Under no circumstances may Kindergarten children be allowed on the After School Playground.  This program is provided free-of-charge to participants. It is our firm belief that every child and youth has a need and a right to participate, in the presence of a responsible, caring adult, in engaging activities that support achievement and promote social, emotional, and physical development beyond the regular school day. This is a permissive program for Lanai Road School students--children are free to come and go as they please.  We ask that children stay in the designated play area on the upper yard until they are picked up or supposed to walk home.  All parents, whose children are using the after school program, must come to the yard to sign in and meet our After School Playground Director within the first 30 days of school.

After–School Enrichment

After-School Enrichment is an after school program (2:30 pm - 6:00 pm), Monday through Friday, and is available to students, grades K-6. After-School Enrichment operates on school days, which includes early dismissal and minimum school days.

Our After-School Enrichment Program is comprised of three components designed to provide students an opportunity to participate in our ’Signature’ Enrichment Classes, a variety of individual classes with an emphasis in fine arts and physical education, and a Study Hall. These components are what make up the time period between 2:30 pm and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Students begin the afternoon in a homeroom setting with roll call, announcements, short instruction regarding the enrichment day and a healthy snack – supplied by parents.

Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, students will attend an enrichment class and study hall. Study Hall does not take place on Fridays; instead, students will participate in fun organized activities. The period between 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm is supervised and includes playground activities, board games, reading or homework completion.

How To Enroll In E3

·          Fill out an enrollment form. These forms are available at your schools main office or you can download from our website – www.enrichmentkids.com.

·          A $100 non-refundable registration fee must accompany your enrollment form to secure your child’s place in the program.  This is an annual fee and not applied to tuition.

·          If you would like to pay by credit card, please call our office and we will arrange that for you, or you can download the, “Credit Card Authorization Form” from our website, “Forms to Download”.

·          Mail the enrollment form and check to E3, PO Box 4447, Valley Village, CA 91617

Upon receipt of both items, we will mail you a complete registration packet. If you are a returning E3 family, we will send you only updated forms for the 2008-2009 school year.

All registration forms must be returned to our office at the above address before the first day of school if you would like your child to start on the first day of school. There is a 24-hour turnaround once we receive all your completed paperwork before your child can start the program.

Students who do not follow playground rules, listen to the coach, stay in appropriate areas and/or follow After School Playground rules will be warned, suspended and then excluded from the After School Playground program.  Parents will be notified for conferences.  The playground will be closed when school is closed for holidays, professional development days, or weekends.  Children must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.
