Current & Upcoming Fundraising Events
Laps-4-Lanai

Laps-4-Lanai is a school-based event that helps promote exercise, health and teamwork to our entire student body and serves as a platform for an important fundraiser. On May 26, 27, 2010 students will run laps on the the upper yard during their schedules P.E. time (each grade runs only one day). It is a special day with music, incentives and good healthy fun! Students receive incentives both for completing their laps and for fundraising.

All students are encourages to get "sponsors" for their participation in the event. Like all of our fundraisers, Laps-4-Lanai rasies money that helps pay for programs that are very important to our wonderful school, such as P.E., orchestra, a registered nurse, a computer lab, a science lab and teacher, well-stocked library and others. This event, in particular, provides an opportunity for our children to take an "equity stake" in their own school - by helping to raise money for the programs from which the benefit daily!

Spirit Wear

At Lanai, we are proud of our school outfit policy. Student performance, self-esteem, confidence, and school spirit have all been shown to increase when a “uniform” policy is in place. Not to mention, it’s certainly nice to minimize those morning battles over what to wear. Finally, there is no greater advertising for our wonderful school than seeing kids (and parents too) around town in their Lanai-wear!

In addition to our kids looking great, Spirit Wear is a great fundraiser for our school. Thanks to the generosity of IDMe Promotions who provide our clothing and spirit items at reduced prices, we are able to price our items reasonably and still make a nice profit for our school.

While there are a few large Spirit Wear sales throughout the year, Spirit Wear may be ordered anytime. Order forms are always available at the Spirit Wear board in front of the school office, or download one here. No promises that we’ll always have everything in stock, but we do our best to fill all orders in as timely a manner as possible. For more information, please contact Lisa Liss, Monica Klausner, Pondra Perkins.

Purchase Power

Lanai is eligible for money from multiple community sources! Once registered appropriately, many of our day-to-day purchases and activities passively generate money for our school. Key sources of income include RALPHS (4% of purchases back to Lanai), OFFICE DEPOT (5% to Lanai), GOODSEARCH.COM (powered by Yahoo, 1 cent per internet search on this search engine), E-SCRIP.COM (an on-line mall, 10% to Lanai) & TARGET (1% of Target Card purchases to Lanai & 1/2% of all purchases on Target Visa cards).Click here for the general Purchase Power flyer or for more information, contact Veronica Kon.
Birthday Book Club

Celebrate your child's birthday by dedicating a book in Lanai's own Wonder of Reading Library in his/her honor. You will leave your child's mark on our school, help us expand our library, and support the school at the same time. Look for an envelope in your child's Backpack News envelope around the time of their birthday, and give your children a sense of pride.

LOVE ENRICHMENT FUND

The 2011/12 Enrichment Fund Drive

It stands for Lanai Values Education…and we do! This is our largest fundraiser of the year, bringing in half of our annual fundraising goal! Because of this, the LoVE Fund’s success is crucial to continuing the achievements of our children and our community school. A recommended minimum contribution of $700 per child is requested, but ANY amount that each family can afford is greatly appreciated. Pay in 1 lump sum or in 4 monthly payments during the school year. Pay by check or credit card. Don’t forget to check if your employer offers a Matching Gift Program. Last year, the LoVE Fund received over $10,000 in Employer Matching Gifts! So, please give whatever you can, but give something! Take ownership of our success! Who knows what we might achieve with 100% family participation! All LoVE Fund donations are tax deductible. For more information, please download/view our LoVE Letter by clicking below, or contact Lauren Campbell or Neda Cohen.
